Foundation and Facilities

Top Highflyer Schools was founded in 1996 as co-educational school.  Originally, the school was known as Oluade Schools.  We started with just the primary section then later extended to carter for the secondary section.  The school changed to its new name Top Highflyer Schools to conform to its international standards.  There were 50 pupils on the roll call when the school first started but we can proudly state that we have over 500 students presently as a result of our hard work.

Three years ago our hostel was built and opened for use by students male and female.

The new school building comprises three large floors with 20 classrooms to carter for the traffic in students’ registration.  We also have a large air conditioned recreational hall of 500 sitting capacity.  The teaching blocks include administrative offices, a library Centre which is well-stocked with books and audio-visual equipments, Chemistry, Physics and Biology laboratories, Home Economics laboratory, Health bay, Fine Art Studio, Book shop, Music room and a School canteen.

The school has taken a decisive step towards preparing its students for everyday challenges and academic life in the 21st century by investing more on its Information Technology Centre.

The Management’s vision and aim is “to enable everyone at Top Highflyer Schools both staff and students to be able to use a computer as an everyday tool.

Top Highflyer is in the forefront of known schools in the field of information technology and offers its pupils the following facilities:

  • a fully computerised library with over 170 books on the shelves.
  • Two reading rooms in the hostel to empower pupils in the finding and selection of books thus encouraging an ethic of self-directed, independent discovery
  • a large budget set aside each year for constantly updating the purchase of books and magazines that cater for students intellectual, technical and leisure interests
  • competent, skilled staff on duty to assist all students in the use of computer

But in the midst of this “High-Tech” Centre, a friendly, congenial atmosphere prevails in what is literally and symbolically the ‘heart’ of Top Highflyer and its heritage is preserved and displayed in the school’s hall of fame.  And so, again true to the spirit of its Mission Statement, Top Highflyer is mindful of its heritage to meet the challenges of the future.
